Mt. Carmel is Elijah's holy mountain from the Old Testament and Our Lady's apparition here (much later in time) is the basis for the foundation of the Carmelite Order. We were parishioners at a Carmelite parish in Los Angeles, and fell deeply in love with all things Carmelite.
So treat yourselves to a caramel treat today and thank Our Lady for her delicious patronage!
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, all the holy Carmelites, pray for us!
