It's hard to believe that fall is beginning, but the last hurrah's of summer were today.
Sacred Heart Parish had their (apparently annual? where the heck was I growing up when these were going on?) Fall Festival. Johnny and I trekked over to meet up with a new old friend and her adorable 3 mo Andrew.
Johnny could not have had more fun!
First, Johnny watched the ponies...
Then, Johnny got to actually ride a pony! His first pony ride ever!
He was, of course, more excited by the other horses surrounding him than the one he was on. :)
Round and round he went...With his excellent form, he might have a career in calvary!

Then, Johnny went on a tractor pulled hay-ride.
A happier boy you could not find!
To end the event, Papa called as we were leaving. And! We then went to Panera, had a yummy treat and got to meet up with Jenn -- an old college friend-- her husband and cute little Hugh monkey who happened to be in town from New Mexico.
And after that?
We all needed a nap!
