Even in the land of sunny So-Cal with seemingly endless growing seasons, apparently the strawberries do stop growing. And we missed 'em, by just a couple of weeks.
Luckily, the you-pick place that we found about an hour away from us also has numerous other kinds of fruit to pick, so we made do with blackberries and raspberries.

However, the prickers. This mama is much too much of a big baby for all those prickers. But, now we have a place scoped out for blueberries and strawberries next season.
Pricer-less berries taste that much sweeter without your blood on them ;)
