In Memoriam

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

  1. Hi Mrs. 2nd Lieutenant,
I've been out of the loop for a while, but I wanted to let you know that your husband and your family is in my prayers during the deployment. Wish I could tell you things get easier, but... However, you can do it without going crazy!

This doesn't mean that you have to agree with me - it means you need to disagree nicely!
