Almost.

This weekend, I almost had a dog.

Almost.

Someone, perhaps simply an unlucky owner or perhaps a displaced tornado family, lost an adorable, well mannered, well trained, baby loving still a big puppy blue-eyed husky.

*Swoon.*

We put up signs all over, walked her all around the neighborhood and had her for almost 24 hours before animal control came to see if she was microchipped.

Fortunately for her, she was and we're so glad she'll be back with her people soon.

But, oh, what a dog. A good, good dog. She licked my baby's face, pottied outside, and was just the most beautiful thing. And? She didn't even mind cats. She just sniffed at them and was like, eh. Not impressed.

Of course, they were insanely freaked out by her. A one year old husky is still a heck of a lot bigger than them. Stupid cats.

So yes, this weekend - my parents visited, we had a tornado storm and lost power for 16 hours, went to Palm Sunday Mass, did lots of grilling and almost had a dog.

Almost.
