Leave the gun, take the canoli

Both of my boyos got to visit with their godfathers on our New Years trip north. This was momentous for two reasons: Pumpkin got to meet his godfather, for the first time, soontobe Fr. Chris (there was a terrible mixup for baptism dates, so he ended up not being able to make it).

Tio Chris brought him a beautiful patron saint statue for his baptism and a lovely Nativity wall cross (sort of like this, only way prettier!) that Mama might have to "borrow" until he moves out one day.

And, then, a small miracle slash act of God happened - my Boyo got a picture with both of his godparents at the same time. Its taken almost three years but I finally got my son, my sister and Kenn in a room together!

Tio Kenn, unbeknownst to his much wiser wife and this mama, sent his godson this monstrosity for Christmas:

Despite that, he has been allowed to remain the godfather. However, revenge is indeed a dish best served cold. And loud. With lots of batteries.

  2. My brother used to send us obnoxious gifts for our kids before his first was born. By the time his first was born, we were on #3, so we had time to think of things. We bought his son a set of drums that blink, light, have might sounds. Put new new Energizer batteries in it and super glued the case covering and screw to the battery compartment shut.

Its true, comments make my day :)

Please, however, only comment if you can do so in all charity.

This doesn't mean that you have to agree with me - it means you need to disagree nicely!
