Cast Your Souls Upon the Fountain of My Divine Mercy

Happy Divine Mercy Sunday all!

Pope John Paul the Great instituted the 2nd Sunday of Easter as Divine Mercy Sundays a few years ago, based on the visions of our Lord to St. Faustina early in the 20th century. And, appropriately, it is also the reading of Doubting Thomas from the Gospel. I love the Church's delicious timing :)

This devotion is both simple and profound:

The Divine Mercy message is one we can call to mind simply by remembering ABC:

A - Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins and asking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and upon the whole world.

B - Be merciful. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. He wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us.

C - Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the graces of His mercy are dependent upon our trust. The more we trust in Jesus, the more we will receive.

So, this week, immerse yourself in the Mercy that is Christ's most compassionate heart...

and eat a little cake. :)
