Is anyone else in disbelief that Christmas Eve is in two days?
So much looking forward to midnight Mass!

I am so impressed you do Midnight Mass! I would love to but it is SO crowded and there is no way I could lug my three year old through that whole mass! We typically go Christmas day..after opening presents and having breakfast. Have a beautiful Christmas!

ReplyDeletewe went back and forth about bringing john after he was a baby, but if danielle bean can do it, so can i :-p we just put him in the car straight from bed, christmas jammies and all. normally, i'm a stickler about church clothes for church, but midnight mass, i make an exception! :)
there is just something so cool and special about being out in the middle of the night on christmas eve!
Your midnight mass isn't crowded or long? Really? I loved Danielle Bean's detailing of her family's Christmas midnight mass but to get a seat, we would have to get there at 11pm (like my inlaws do), sit through an hour of the choir (wouldn't be bad, but remember we have a three year old!), then make it thru the long mass, which isn't necessarily long but includes crowds of people, some standing outside listening to speakers (or in the gym where I belive they have an audio broadcast.), which makes it longer. Plus I live in a very culturally Catholic area so you see everyone that you don't see all year (hey at least they're there!), and that's a lot of people! LOL. Many people in my area are Italian, so everyone has their huge dinner of the 7 fishes and then comes to mass...ah, the smell of garlic and alochol! So yes, what a blessing you can enjoy a more intimate midnight Mass! Enjoy..it must be magical!
