Despite the hullabaloo of moving a family of 3.5 (plus furry guys) 4 hours, we have been soaking up the "vacation" time that Mr. 2nd Lt. is using and having lots of fun in our new house.
In between unpacking boxes (and then selling them on Craigslist), hanging pictures and making curtains (pictures to come! I am beyond proud of myself), we've played in our new yard, with our new ($5!) sprinkler and have even gone to our new pool (to which, of course, I forgot my camera).
Here are some sprinkler action shots (in the space between us and our neighbors):

After much hemming and hawing about whether he would be able to sit through such a long feature, Grammy's surprise of little Toy Story 3 action figures clinched it. The Boyo was over the moon for Buzz and Woody.
So, we took our little (big!) boyo to his very first feature film in the theatre. This was a momentous occasion for the son of a filmmaker/screenwriter and thus, warranted some pictures.
Needless to say, we're trying to pretend that Mr. 2nd Lt.'s leave won't be up next week and we just get to live in this big, beautiful house for free.....

Whoo-hoo for big, beautiful houses! Enjoy the rest of your vacation and the settling in. It's one of my favorite parts of military life :)
