Such a woman's job is to assist the mother during labor and birth, with her support, her encouragement, her advice - a "been there, done that" level of woman to woman empowerment (does anyone else hate this word?) in an age where multigenerations of families don't often live near each other (or always have experience in natural childbirth).
For someone who was blessed to have her very best friend (and a mother of two-at-the-time, now three!) attend her during labor, it is a beautiful experience, truly a sharing of feminine genius in one of life's most precious, most sacred moments:
the welcoming of a new life.
Well now, says Satan, that can't be good. All those happy women and husbands, all those happy, living babies, all those people praising God for His creation - how can I break that?
I've said it before, and I will again, Satan has zero originality - he has no ability to think of something for himself, he can merely take the True, Good and Beautiful that God has given to the Universe and pervert it into something that will service Lies and Death.
And thanks to original sin, someone is sure to sign up for it and label is "great." After all, look at what he's done, and we've cooperated in!, to sexuality and the family.
His latest trick? Abortion Doulas. The Doula Project is an organized group of women assisting in homicide, mostly, I believe, probono.
Oh, how nice. The Devil doesn't charge.
Not everybody is cut out to be an abortion doula, of course.
“A lot of people are interested in this politically, but don’t have the warmth,” Mitchell says. “You need more than just your conviction to do this.”
So it’s not enough, you see, to want to assist in homicide out of a sense of sheer ideological driven-ness. You have to have a human touch, too. Got it?

Pray for the babies, pray for their mamas, pray for the doctors, and pray for these clearly misguided women who had a vocation to something truly wonderful, but were twisted by evil along the way.
I have heard of this (sadly). What shocked me more was abortion midwives. There are midwives that do both deliveries and abortions. Now obviously, doctors do it but seriously midwives? That was the last thing I expected. Prayers for them.
